"On the Road to COP 15"
 
With only one month to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen the international climate negotiations are in a decisive stage. The Ambassador will provide an overview of the current state of negotiations and the prospects for the Copenhagen Conference.

Ambassador Petersen has served as Ambassador of Denmark to the United States since 2005. He has had a distinguished and outstanding career in the Danish Foreign Service, serving on the staff of two Danish Foreign Ministers and holding various senior positions as Permanent Secretary of State and Undersecretary.  

This lecture will be the 3rd in the Converging on Copenhagen Speaker Series which is featuring a diversity of voices on the legal, financial, and political aspects of the climate negotiations conference, COP 15, that will take place this December in Copenhagen.
